Fibre

There was a time when people used to slog the entire day for a handful of money. Nowadays the situation has become so that even slogging does not make your hands full even at the end of the month. We were born as infants, nurtured, nourished and cared to become someone's son and someone's old age stick. Even after becoming elder to that infant we did not learn one thing that our parents, siblings and neighbours did not teach us about. It was our own jurisdiction, nurturing and upbringing of our own self, our decisions, our faith and our thoughts. We took in the book's theories, we learn't how to add, subtract, multiple and divide but we did not learn that we had to feed our mind too. The school had children, a lot of them at that however we were made to like, appreciate and follow their ways in some way or the other. As if we are like some electronic device in native unprogrammed state and will get the code engraved as soon as we start interacting, listening and unders...

The tyred life

Everyday whenever we venture out of our comfortable homes we have to walk on the government roads sometime or the other, somehow or the other. We are this world's most blessed creatures as we have the privilege of providing the most valuable provision to the passing by vehicles, the passing space. We might be walking, cycling, riding a two wheeler or a four wheeled vehicle however if there was no person on the road considering our presence then it would have been a nightmare moving ahead. Its not an option for us to stay put on the lane and disallow others from freely moving ahead of us. If we think that we are stubborn or may have been made so by the person behind us moving closer to our existence on this road then god forbid what would happen if he manages to cross us recently. There would be words filling up his mouth so casually out of distaste, frustration or anger which would never have happened if we allowed them ahead of us on time and as per their will. Its all in the min...

A life after a mother

From the very initiation when the world was a huge place and we were still unsure of our area's roads too my mother was there to guide me. Any problems and any questions would be directed by me at her for a satisfactory answer or solution. She would never get impatient and would never scold me for anything but would only be with me as a friend and above. We spent many days roaming around together, mom used to cook my favourite dishes and we used to watch movies and television together. There were times when mom used to be unhappy with me as I grew old but still after that situation she would come back happily and love just as she used to do ago. I never had a thought that one day she would leave me and make my environment, life and thoughts empty without her presence. Today I see a world without her, I see an apartment without her, I see a life without her, its very difficult, but I she is still there somewhere watching me, staying beside me and also guiding my thoughts. Its as ...

Psychologically yours

When I was a child my father used to take me along with to various places, market, his place of work (Eastern Railway hospital, Asansol) and also he took me to the Asansol railway yard when I saw various Locomotives running from left to right and vice versa. I used to enjoy being with him barring the thoughts of school which I always used to find a pain every morning. My three elder brothers used to love me like a child can be loved, my eldest brother used to take me on his motorcycle to the rest houses of Medical representatives where I saw different people from different locations in West Bengal assembling and have a life which was below ordinary however they were happy. My middle brother was the one who used to scold me the most and I used to be very fearful giving him back any word which I didn't like however his love used to come back always through different items which he used to bring me. The elder brother did also love me however he used to be busy most of the time rarely...

Brittle

The cold gust of wind, a jacket wrapped all around the body , a man is walking down the road, a few people come from the other side, they pull at his jacket, tug at his muffler and poke at his existence, he doesn't recognise them! Few things in life come absolutely free, unasked irritation, nagging and pestering also a pinch of jealousy and anxious attacks are included here. Some people go places, like an institution to study, to recognise their abilities in life, unless they come across goons who hate simple living and healthy thinking...the goons don't know the guy either, the guy simply enjoys here the wrath of his existence in that situation, that class and that converts into a tragedy. He can be paraded naked, he can be punched hard all areas without knowing he is human,he can be mentally tortured so as to forget what he primarily had in purpose inside his mind. The time ticks by and only thing he knows is fear and any means to run away or give up. Everything needs a limit...

An Encounter with Happiness

One day Prabhat came out of his house and started walking on the roadside heading towards his office, suddenly his eyes fell on something unusual, a Rs. 500 note was lying infantly on the road, he gazed beside and backwards analysing the anxiety of a yes or no, telling his limbs to be with him. His mind was getting overjoyed by the fact that it was a no mans land and he was a complete winner but still his internal atmospheric thermos was telling him that it may not be a wise decision. It can be anybody's currency, a beggar after a comfortable night snooze off to a new day carelessly maybe. Or a man whose wife has been expecting her husband to get her some smiles back home in the evening. It could even be a father's happiness for his son or even a colleague who had lent him this much in bad times. There maybe many a reason for other's to be happy and deprived as well since they will now know its not there in their pockets. Prabhat scratched his head and felt lonely money may...
